How Much Is A Dollar Worth In Pesos?

Hello Canadian and American friends!

One of the things you might struggle with when you first move to Mexico is doing quick math in your head to determine the currency exchange. The exchange rate for Mexican Peso to US Dollar is about $20 MXN= $1 USD. However, this does fluctuate daily- sometimes it is $19 MXN= $1 USD or $21 MXN= $1 US.

For our friends in Canada, there is another level of complexity since the exchange rate doesn’t usually fall into an easy number like the US Dollar. For Canada, the exchange rate is usually around $16 MXN = $1 CAD.

But that might be hard math to do quickly, and sometimes knowing the equivalent of the Mexican bills you are handling can be easier to memorize.
