Guadalajara, in the state of Jalisco, is one of Mexico’s largest cities and arguably one of the most popular amongst our audience.
With a population of about 2 million, the Guadalajara metroplex has everything you could want in a city. Museums, cultural events, foodie restaurants, parks, events, and a good range of housing options.
Plus, its location at about 5100 feet above sea level makes its weather one of the more pleasant ones year-round in Mexico. Summer averages are in the mid- to high 80s during daylight hours and down to the 60s at night.
It’s a perfect city for those who enjoy the sunshine but don’t want to be baking in the summer heat all day long. This makes for enjoyable walks and outdoor activities.
And that’s exactly how Shakira says she enjoys most of her days living in Guadalajara. With a lot of walking, exploring her new city, and integrating into her new life in Mexico.
