Queretaro- One of The Most Desired Cities to Live in

Queretaro is one of the most desired places to live in Mexico. And we truly understand why.

Not only are wages some of the highest paid in all of Mexico, which come hand in hand with the general sense of safety and also modernity in its infrastructure. The weather is also a huge draw. Because of its location, it is protected from hurricanes and also doesn’t have earthquakes like some cities in Mexico.

The cost of living is a fraction of a similar city in the U.S. or Canada, with 2-bedroom rentals starting at $500 USD/month ($9k MXN) with many amenities within walking distance.

And Queretaro is centrally located in Mexico, which makes exploring the rest of the country a lot easier.

In this video, we share rental costs, grocery costs, and utility costs.

We also give you some of the top neighborhoods to live in and show you how to get around this amazing city. It’s one of my favorite places in Mexico. If I wasn’t in CDMX, I would move to Queretaro in a heartbeat.

Hope you like this tour of Queretaro.

Hi,, I will be retiring on a small pension of $1000.00 a month pension and was wondering if I could afford living in Mexico City on that income? Quetaro is my 2nd choice…

      Hi Ronaldo,
It’s not impossible however it will be very tight. Especially Mexico City which is the most expensive city in Mexico.
Another thing to remember is in order to legally live in Mexico you will need to have a residency visa. Here are the requirements https://mexicorelocationguide.com/mexico-resident-visa/
