Living on $1400 USD A Month in Ensenada, Mexico

Kathy moved to Ensenada, Baja California, from the U.S. for many reasons. One of them is the lower cost of living. But now she loves Mexico for the people, the community, and the healthcare she has received.

In this video, she shares how she would not have been able to retire in California on her current social security income and why she encourages others to consider Mexico as their retirement.

Kathy lives in Ensenada like a local and wants to share with you what her life in is like and what you can expect if your income is around $1400 USD (what she takes from Social Security monthly).

I hope you like this video! Personally, it is one of my favorites. You can tell in various scenes that Kathy has built an awesome community of people who love her. And that she truly loves living in Mexico.

Hopefully, this inspires you to see that you can do it, too, without fearing running out of money.

Even with the current drop in the peso to dollar exchange rate, it is possible to retire and live comfortably on social security in Mexico.

Kathy’s biggest advice: “learn to live like a local.” And our recommended tour guides can help you do just that- learn to live like a local. Check out our Mexico Relocation Tours to find out more.
