I highly recommend that you rent in Mexico before even thinking about buying anything. For starters, it gives you a tremendous amount of flexibility. You can easily move around to different cities in Mexico if you’ve always wanted to explore more than just one place. It might also save you a lot of money in moving costs because many houses in Mexico come fully furnished. Imagine being able to sell everything back home and start new in Mexico.
Yes, I’m a huge advocate of renting in Mexico long-term.
However, one of the things I have noticed is that a lot of rentals in Mexico aren’t managed by English speakers. It’s not a surprise. After all, Mexico is a Spanish-speaking country. So here’s a quick cheat sheet of some of the most common questions I see asked by foreigners renting in Mexico. And to make it easier on you, I’ve added their translation in Spanish.
I encourage you to save this cheat sheet. And feel free to comment below on other questions you think I should add! And feel free to share this post with anyone you think might need it.
