New Life in Lake Chapala- These Americans Are Thriving!

Have you been wondering what living in Lake Chapala is like? Well, I want you to meet our friends Sunshine, Sunya and Savvy. Three beautiful women who moved from the USA to Mexico at different times in their lives.

Sunya, Savvy, and Sunshine- The ladies of Soujourner Vista Del Lago

After a few years in the Lake Chapala area, they found each other and are now living a great life in San Nicolas Ibarra (about 5 minutes outside of Chapala).

Learn their stories about their reasons for moving to Mexico and how living abroad is a breath of fresh air compared to their lives in the United States. They talk about racism in Mexico, whether or not they feel safe as single women, renting challenges, and some common surprises. And the challenges they have had to overcome by moving to Mexico.

And even though learning how to live in a country hasn’t been without its challenges, they say they love their lives in the Lake Chapala area and are thriving more than ever.

They also show us around their Bed and Breakfast (Soujourner’s Vista del Lago), which aims to help people come and find a relaxing place while they scout the area.

One thing I can tell you from this interview before you watch it is that these beautiful women were a delight to listen to. Watch the full video on our YouTube Channel.
