Why You Should Consider A Mexico Relocation Tour

My heart is so full and my feet are sooo tired from the last few days after our first Mexico Relocation Tour.

Our tour group visited Guadalajara, Ajijic, San Miguel de Allende and Queretaro. I’ve been away from my computer for the last 2 weeks, and I wanted to give you an update as to why you should consider a Mexico Relocation Tour.

During the tour we met with:
-An immigration lawyer to discuss Residency Options in Mexico
-A few realtors showed us rentals in various neighborhoods and at various price ranges without pushing anything. No sales pitches!
-A real estate lawyer to teach you about buying a property in Mexico and the things other expat groups don’t discuss. For example: why you need a will, how to make sure house cleaners and gardeners are paid off before the sale of a home, and how some people have been stuck with a large debt because they didn’t know what they didn’t know.
-An expat healthcare professional who knows the ins and outs of using Medicare Advantage and U.S.-based healthcare insurance in Mexico.
-A healthcare broker who explained the differences between public and private hospitals in Mexico and why you’d want to consider private health insurance.
-Local expats in Ajijic, San Miguel de Allende, and Queretaro shared their experience moving to Mexico and who became instant resources for the tour guests.

And we also did a lot of fun things!

We visited some beautiful scenic cities, toured some grocery stores and mercados, ate A LOT of great food, and drank great wine, tequila and mezcal!

And many of our very complete and amazing meals were so inexpensive that they show you how you really can afford a better life in Mexico! Like this HUGE molcajete filled with prawns, fajita, chorizo, avocado, veggies, and enough for 2-3 people. Only $260 Pesos. (~$13 USD)

There were 12 of us which made it intimate enough to form some lasting bonds! We got to eat at a variety of restaurants from high-end dining to taco stands. The group got to see a variety of neighborhoods and amenities nearby. We showed them the fancy grocery stores but also the mercados and tianguis. Because this tour is about showing you the real Mexico and everything in between.

Everyone in the group got a taste of what it would be like to live in these areas.

And we visited some beautiful cities where life is just better!

Like Ajijic where the weather is perfect at 70 degrees year-round and you have the scenic malecon facing the gorgeous Lake Chapala with Mount Garcia in the background.

The group got a chance to see a bustling city like Guadalajara and a quiet town like Chapala.

Every night, we met with a different expat who moved to Mexico and was able to share their experience and their learnings. But most of all, it helps our tour guests make an instant connection with someone locally.

And now I am planning our next all-inclusive 6-day tour for 2022!

It takes a lot of time and effort to plan an all-inclusive tour as you can probably imagine. Right now I am hitting the ground running to start planning our next 6-day tour in 2022!

However, we don’t have dates yet. As soon as I have the next date planned you’ll be the first to know!

But what happens if you’re ready to start your exploratory trip to Mexico sooner rather than later? What if you don’t want to wait for the next group dates to be announced?

This is when I’d highly suggest hiring one of our recommended private relocation tours. We have them in various parts of Mexico like:

  • Ajijic
  • Chapala
  • San Miguel de Allende
  • Guadalajara
  • Queretaro
  • Morelia

With a private relocation tour, you get to customize it to YOUR needs. You won’t have to worry about hiring a driver, renting a car, or figuring out where to go. You simply tell your tour guide what you would like to accomplish on your tour and have them worry about the rest. If you want to see different rentals, they can arrange that. If you want to see mercados, tianguis, malls, local shopping; they can arrange that. If you want to know what life is like for a local, they can share their experience with you while you get to enjoy the scenery around you. They can even schedule a doctor’s visit for you while you’re in town.
